Aquila European Renewables to list on Euronext Growth Dublin

LONDON, UK: Aquila European Renewables plc (AER), a London-listed investment company focused on renewable energy projects in Europe, has announced its intention to list its shares on Euronext Growth Dublin, a market operated by Euronext Dublin.

The company said that the secondary listing will not involve raising any new funds or issuing any new shares, and that it will remain listed on the London Stock Exchange as well.

The company expects that the listing on Euronext Growth Dublin will become effective on 2 October 2023, and that its ticker will be AERI. The company said that the listing will enhance its marketability and appeal in Europe, as well as its liquidity and growth opportunities.

The company has published an Information Document in connection with the listing, which is available on its website. The document is not a prospectus and has not been approved by any regulatory authority.

AER is advised by Aquila Capital Investmentgesellschaft mbH, a leading European alternative investment manager. The company invests in a diversified portfolio of renewable energy assets, such as wind, solar, hydro and biomass, across 12 countries in Europe. The company aims to provide shareholders with attractive and sustainable dividends, as well as capital appreciation.

Ian Nolan, the chairman of AER, commented: “We announced our intention to explore a secondary listing in May 2023 as one of a number of key initiatives the Board is exploring to help secure recognition in the share price of the real underlying value of the portfolio. Given the diverse European focus of the Company’s strategy and its EUR denomination, we believe a European listing will further enhance the Company’s marketability and appeal in Europe thereby also potentially enhancing liquidity of the underlying shares and providing opportunities for further growth.”
