Spectarium secures $5.3 million seed funding for AI-powered action RPG Myths

Spectarium, a Finnish game developer, has raised $5.3 million (€5 million) in seed funding to create its first cross-platform action RPG, Myths. The game will use AI to personalize the dungeon-crawling gameplay and setting based on each player’s tastes and behavior.

Myths will be set in a world inspired by ancient mythologies, but with dynamic changes in the storyline, encounters, themes and setting. The game will also generate new content for players to explore and shape. Players who defeat legendary new bosses will be able to own, upgrade and share them with other players, and receive in-game recognition for their achievement.

Romain Schneider, CEO of Spectarium, said: “We have a shared mission to create a game envisioned by our community. We have developed a deep trust with our global player base and a passion for crafting games that resonate. We are committed to developing cross-platform, mass-market games that captivate gamers worldwide. By merging standout visuals with generated content, we aim to craft unique and endless gameplay experiences.”
