Bio-Gene Technology appoints new Managing Director and CEO

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Bio-Gene Technology Limited (Bio-Gene), an agtech development company enabling the next generation of novel insecticides, has announced the appointment of Mr Tim Grogan as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective from 28th August 2023.

Mr Grogan will replace Mr Richard Jagger, who will formally resign as the current Managing Director and CEO at the end of September and transition to a new advisory role focused on stakeholder management of Bio-Gene’s existing and future development partnerships.

Mr Grogan has more than 30 years’ experience and expertise in the agtech, food and human health sectors, with a successful track record of delivering growth, product development, commercialisation, capital raising and corporate governance.

He has held several key executive roles in various companies, including SIRA Pty Ltd, Dimerix BioScience Pty Ltd and Starpharma (ASX:SPL). He has also been consulting to companies in the health and medical technology sectors in Australia, providing strategic, government and regulatory advice.

Mr May also thanked Mr Jagger for his significant contribution to Bio-Gene over the past four years. “Richard has been instrumental in advancing Bio-Gene’s technology platform, securing key partnerships and collaborations, raising capital and building a strong team. We are pleased that Richard will continue to support Bio-Gene in his new advisory role and we wish him all the best for his future endeavours.”
