SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: East 33 Limited (ASX: E33), a leading producer of premium Sydney Rock Oysters, has announced the appointment of Dr Justin Welsh as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from 16 October 2023 or earlier if mutually agreed.
Dr Welsh joins East 33 from Harvest Road Group, the Tattarang-owned agribusiness, where he served as the Chief Operations Officer of Aquaculture. He has over 15 years of experience in the aquaculture industry, with a track record of delivering business growth through innovative strategies and execution excellence.
Dr Welsh has also held various senior roles at MScience, a global provider of scientific and technical services, and has board experience as a Non-Executive Director of Future Feed, a company developing sustainable feed solutions for livestock, and Aquaculture Council of Western Australia (ACWA), the peak industry body for aquaculture in WA.
Ms Sarah Courtney, the Chair of East 33, welcomed Dr Welsh to the Company, saying that he brings a broad range of skills and experience to lead the Company through its next phase. “We look forward to Justin’s proven leadership driving the Company’s strategy forward,” she said.
