Xiaomi has unveiled its latest tablet, the Pad 6, in India, continuing its commitment to delivering premium features and specifications at accessible prices. Serving as the successor to the Pad 5, the Pad 6 aims to bring a premium all-metal design and high-end features to the masses, positioning itself as Xiaomi’s answer to the OnePlus Pad.
With a starting price of Rs 26,999 and general availability set for June 21, the Xiaomi Pad 6 aims to make a mark in the Indian tablet market.
The Pad 6 is available in two memory configurations. The base model comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, priced at Rs 26,999. For those seeking more storage and performance, there’s an 8GB RAM variant with 256GB of storage, priced at Rs 28,999.
Sporting an all-metal unibody design, the Pad 6 boasts a sleek and minimalistic build. Weighing in at just 490g and measuring a mere 6.51mm in thickness, the tablet offers a comfortable and lightweight experience. The device features slim bezels, with the front-facing camera strategically placed on the longer edge in landscape orientation, making it ideal for video calls and similar activities.
The Pad 6 is equipped with an 11-inch 2.8K resolution LCD display, offering a 7-stage 144Hz refresh rate (3-/48/50/60/90/120/144Hz) and a peak brightness of up to 550nits. The panel supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content out of the box, delivering vibrant and immersive visuals. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Powering the tablet is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset, ensuring smooth performance and efficient multitasking. The Pad 6 is backed by an 8,840mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Xiaomi claims that the tablet can last up to two days on a single charge, and the bundled charger can recharge it from 0 to 100% in under 100 minutes. Running the show is MIUI 14 software based on Android 13.
Completing the package is a 13MP rear-facing camera for capturing moments on the go, along with a quad-speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos for an enhanced audio experience.
As is customary, Xiaomi is offering optional accessories for the Pad 6, including a custom keyboard and stylus. The keyboard accessory is priced at Rs 4,999, while the second-generation Xiaomi Smart Pen will be available for Rs 5,999. Additionally, a separate case without a keyboard can be purchased for Rs 1,499.
