ASUS is working on a new flagship smartphone: Zenfone 10. The device will succeed the Zenfone 9, which was launched last year. Today, ASUS confirmed the existence of the Zenfone 10 through a webpage and mentioned its price.
The webpage asks users to provide feedback on a series of photos that will help the company improve the camera performance of the Zenfone 10. Users who participate in the feedback will also stand a chance to win the phone. The terms and conditions of the contest reveal that the Zenfone 10 will start at $749 in the US.
The Zenfone 10 is expected to have Samsung’s 200MP ISOCELL sensor as its main rear camera, which could make it a better camera phone than the Galaxy S23. The Galaxy S23 is rumored to have a 50MP camera sensor. The Zenfone 10 is also said to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phone is likely to feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging, and IP68 water and dust resistance.
With these specs, the Zenfone 10 could be a strong competitor to the Galaxy S23. It could also be $50 cheaper than Samsung’s flagship, which could attract more buyers. However, the price of the Zenfone 10 on ASUS’ website could be a placeholder and may change at launch. Therefore, it is too early to say if the Zenfone 10 is a real threat to the Galaxy S23. The launch date of the Zenfone 10 is not known yet, but it should launch soon.
