Munich, Germany: BMW Group and AirConsole, a gaming platform that allows users to play games on their smartphones using their car’s display, have announced a partnership to bring casual gaming to BMW vehicles.
The partnership will see the AirConsole app integrated into the BMW Curved Display, which is a 12.3-inch touchscreen display located in the center of the dashboard. The AirConsole app will allow passengers to play a variety of casual games, including racing, sports, quiz, and music quiz games, as well as simulation, strategy, jump-and-run, and puzzle games.
To use the AirConsole app, passengers simply need to download the app to their smartphone and connect it to the car’s Wi-Fi network. Once the app is connected, passengers can select a game and start playing. The AirConsole app also supports multiple players, so passengers can compete against each other or cooperate to complete challenges.
“We are excited to partner with AirConsole to bring casual gaming to our vehicles,” said BMW Group Senior Vice President of Connected Car and Digital Services Milan Nedeljkovic. “This partnership will allow our customers to enjoy a new way to pass the time while they are on the go.”
The AirConsole app will be available in BMW vehicles starting in the summer of 2023.
