LONDON, UK: MyHealthChecked PLC, the consumer home-testing healthcare company, has announced a new agreement with Boots UK Limited, the leading health and beauty retailer and pharmacy group, to launch 20 new at-home self-testing products via boots.com and across Boots stores in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The new products include 14 different test panels that cover various health applications, such as thyroid function, food intolerances and sensitivities, vitamin profiles and DNA analysis. The tests require blood, urine or cheek swab samples that are collected at home and sent to an accredited lab for analysis. The results are verified by a GP who will provide advice on any actions the patient should take.
The other six products are lateral flow tests that can be done at home without needing to send a sample to the lab. The result is provided on the device itself. These tests include pregnancy, ovulation, cholesterol and blood glucose tests.
The new products will be launched online and in selected Boots stores during May 2023. The agreement is on a non-exclusive basis and has an initial term of 12 months from 17 May 2023.
This is the latest collaboration between MyHealthChecked and Boots, following the successful launch of MyHealthChecked’s COVID-19 PCR test kits and FlowFlexTM lateral flow tests via Boots online and in stores during 2021.
Penny McCormick, the chief executive officer of MyHealthChecked PLC, said that the new agreement reflects a change in consumer needs as more customers take their health into their own hands. She also said that the company will focus on providing ongoing customer guidance and investing in the evolution of its technology platform.
