Blockworks, a media company that covers cryptocurrency for professionals, has raised $12 million in funding at a post-money valuation of $135 million, according to its co-founder Jason Yanowitz.
The round was led by 10T Holdings, with participation from Framework Ventures and Santiago Santos, a crypto investor who co-hosts a podcast with Yanowitz for Blockworks.
The funds will be used to accelerate the growth of the firm’s research and data analytics offering, Blockworks Research, and to expand its global reach.
Yanowitz said there is a significant opportunity to capture market share within the crypto media industry as many competitors are struggling.
The company plans to continue hiring with the new capital, and there is an opportunity to grow its podcast network further outside of crypto into the financial podcast space.
