CoinMarketCap to launch ‘Killer Whales,’ the World’s First Web3 TV Show

CoinMarketCap, one of the leading crypto aggregators in the market, is planning to launch a reality TV show named “Killer Whales,” which is set to become the first globally broadcasted Web3 television show.

The show is expected to begin filming in June and will be produced by HELLO Labs. It aims to educate and entertain the global public about the intricacies and evolving technology of the Web3 world.

Killer Whales will be similar to the popular TV show Shark Tank, where contestants will pitch their crypto and NFT projects to a panel of industry experts referred to as “Whales.”

The goal of the show is to encourage participation from the global public and showcase projects of all shapes and sizes within the cryptocurrency and non-fungible token (NFT) space.

The judges will vote on the quality of the pitches, with those receiving the most ‘Swim’ votes rising to the top of the series leaderboard.

Interested projects can apply to be on Killer Whales starting May 2 via the Hello.one web portal. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of professional Web3 experts, including representatives from CoinMarketCap and HELLO Labs, among other security experts.

The top submissions will be invited to take part in the filming of the show in Los Angeles.

“We want to open the door to the next billion users into Web3 by educating them on all things crypto,” said Sander Gortjes, CEO of HELLO Labs, in a statement.

“Our aim is to provide a voice through our platform for the entire Web3 community when producing the show, so we have introduced a way for communities to vote for their favorite projects and NFTs and show their support.”

The platform will also host its native HELLO token, which will allow holders with at least 1,000 tokens to be eligible for a daily Super Vote, which counts as ten regular votes. Additionally, anyone can claim their daily vote by connecting their Web3 wallet with Hello.one.

“We can’t wait to showcase the exciting projects and ideas that will be featured on the show,” HELLO Labs said.

“With the help of our judges, contestants will have the opportunity to bring their vision to life and make a significant impact in the world of cryptocurrency.”

With the increasing popularity of cryptocurrencies and the growing interest of billions of Web3 users worldwide, the launch of Killer Whales will provide a global platform to promote and educate people about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
