Xiaomi to launch Redmi Note 12R Pro with Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 Chipset and OLED Display

Xiaomi, the popular Chinese electronics company, is set to launch a new mid-range smartphone, the Redmi Note 12R Pro, which will be fully revealed on April 29th. This announcement comes shortly after the release of the Redmi Note 12 series in Europe, and fans of the brand are eagerly anticipating the latest addition to their smartphone lineup.

Xiaomi has released a teaser image of the device, and also revealed some of the key specifications in a Weibo post.

According to the post, the Redmi Note 12R Pro will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, which boasts two ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores, six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, and an Adreno 619 GPU.

The device will also come with an integrated 5G modem, providing high-speed internet connectivity to its users.

In terms of memory and storage, the Redmi Note 12R Pro will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, ensuring that users can store all of their favorite apps, music, and photos without running out of space.

Additionally, Xiaomi has confirmed that the device will come with an OLED display that operates at 120Hz, providing a smooth and fluid visual experience.

The device will also feature a 48MP primary camera, ensuring that users can capture high-quality photos and videos with ease.

Interestingly, it appears that Xiaomi may have rebranded the Redmi Note 12 5G for this release, despite already offering it in China.

If this is the case, the Redmi Note 12R Pro will include a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.

It remains to be seen whether the Redmi Note 12R Pro will be available outside of China, or whether it will be a Chinese exclusive for the time being.

Nonetheless, fans of Xiaomi are eagerly awaiting the full reveal of the device on April 29th, hoping that it will live up to the high standards set by previous releases from the brand.
