Lexus, the luxury carmaker, is set to introduce its latest model in the UK – the Lexus LM. Described as a luxury people mover, the car is a people carrier or minivan that is favored by the rich and famous in the Far East, particularly in Japan and Hong Kong.
The Lexus LM aims to bring this level of mobile luxury to the UK market, where people carriers are generally more practical than luxurious.
One of the standout features of the Lexus LM is its rear cabin, which is designed to provide a first-class experience for passengers. The four-seater version is the epitome of luxury, with airline-style seats that can lie completely flat.
The rear cabin also includes a touchscreen tablet for controlling the audio system, climate controls, seat functions, lighting, and blinds.
The audio system is a Mark Levinson 3D Surround Sound reference audio system with a 23-speaker array, while the lighting includes 14 shades in five mood themes. There’s even a refrigerator to provide refreshments for passengers during their journey.
However, the most impressive feature of the Lexus LM is the 48-inch HD widescreen display that is fitted in the rear cabin. This monitor provides a cinema-like experience for passengers, and it can be split into two separate displays for the two rear passengers if needed.
Under the hood, the Lexus LM is a mild hybrid model with a 2.5-litre self-charging electric powertrain. It also includes the latest generation of Lexus Safety System+, which includes adaptive cruise control and Proactive Driving Assist.
The car is expected to go on sale in autumn 2023, although the price has yet to be confirmed. With its luxurious features and impressive technology, the Lexus LM is set to be a game-changer in the people carrier market in the UK.
