AUCKLAND, NZ: Ventia Services Group has been awarded a significant contract with NBN Co. The contract is an extension and new scope under NBN Co’s Fibre Connect (Fibre to the Node to Fibre to the Premises) program and is expected to deliver revenue of approximately $280 million to Ventia over the next 2.5 years.
The Fibre Connect program extends Australia’s digital backbone further into communities, providing access to the highest wholesale speed tiers on the nbn®TM fixed line network for an additional 1.5 million premises in total.
The program enables a seamless transition to Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) technology for eligible premises currently connected via Fibre-to-the-Node (FTTN).
This award is a testament to Ventia and NBN Co’s strong partnership.
Ventia’s Group Executive – Telecommunications, Mark Ralston said the company’s track record of delivering large-scale projects, its expertise in fibre design and build, together with Ventia’s strong performance as a long-term NBN Co strategic partner, all contributed to this new award.
“We value our collaborative partnership with NBN Co and are thrilled to continue to support the delivery of this important project. We have the expertise and team in place to manage a project of this magnitude and look forward to delivering this new program of work utilising our client-focused, innovative and sustainable approach,” said Mark. Works under this new award will commence July 2023.
