Gaming Innovation Group signs platform deal with Palasino Malta Ltd

OSLO, NORWAY: Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG) has announced the completion of its partnership agreement with Palasino Malta Ltd (PML), which is part of Trans World Hotels & Entertainment a.s. (TWHE).

The deal will see GiG providing its player account management platform, front-end delivery and content management system to power TWHE’s traditional retail business entry into the online market.

This partnership will allow TWHE to add an additional revenue stream to its portfolio in multiple international markets, with Palasino.com being the online entry point.

TWHE, with operations across Europe, has been in the retail casino industry for over 25 years, with interests in Germany, Czech Republic, and Austria. The partnership agreement will further elevate its brand as a premier player in the European gaming and hospitality markets. This marks the ninth traditional retail operator to partner with GiG to expand its business digitally.

The agreement is signed for an initial period of five years and will be live during H1 2023. The deal will provide TWHE with the ability to launch its online division operating out of Malta with an MGA license.

The online gaming space across the industry continues to see growth, and GiG, being a leading iGaming platform and sportsbook provider, has built a strong reputation with land-based operators looking to expand on their digital aspirations. GiG’s platform covers 29 regulated markets and an additional eight in the pipeline.

Overall, European online growth of regulated GGR is expected to climb at an annual rate of 7.6 percent to €37.3bn by 2026, according to forecasts from VIXIO Gambling Compliance. Marcel Elfersy, CCO of GiG, expressed his pleasure over the partnership agreement, citing opportunities for both businesses to expand into new international markets.
