Rana Gruber to be the first mining company to list on Oslo Stock Exchange

OSLO, NORWAY: The Norwegian iron ore producer Rana Gruber transfers its shares from Euronext Growth and lists on Oslo Stock Exchange.

The company is the only mining company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange’s main list and the second company located in Northern Norway.

Rana Gruber is a Norwegian iron ore producer, which has been traded on Euronext Growth since February 2021. The company will now be the first from the Nordland county (excluding the bank Sparebank 1 Helgeland) to list on Oslo Stock Exchange. The first day of trading is 28 March (RANA).

“The listing of Rana Gruber at the stock exchange’s main list marks an important milestone for our company, but also for the entire business community in Northern Norway. Hopefully, this inspires also other businesses to dare to think big”, says Gunnar Moe, CEO of Rana Gruber.

In 2021, Rana Gruber booked revenues of NOK 1.7 billion and an operating profit before depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of NOK 937 million.

“We have more than 200 years of experience from mineral extraction, large reserves of iron ore, and an ambition to become the first carbon free iron ore producer in the world by the end of 2025. Being listed on the main list, we gain access to a deeper and global capital base, in addition to providing broader access to an investment in Norway’s only iron ore producer”, he says.

Mo i Rana has a proud industrial history, and today, Rana Gruber is one of the region’s largest and most important employers with almost 300 employees. When the company was admitted for trading on Euronext Growth in February 2021, more than 60 per cent of the company’s employees chose to invest in the company.

“I am both proud of and thankful for the efforts of all my colleagues. The fact that so many employees chose to invest in their employer is yet another sign of the commitment that drives Rana Gruber forward”, says Moe.

Rana Gruber is a Norwegian iron ore producer and supplier established in 1964, with operations based on more than 200 years of mining experience. The company’s products are based on own natural mineral resources, which are upgraded and tailored for applications and exported to its customers worldwide.
