LONDON, UK: EVRAZ plc (LSE: EVR) announced that Ilya Shirokobrod, currently EVRAZ Vice President, Sales and Logistics, will be appointed CEO of Raspadskaya Coal Company (hereafter – “RCC”, which manages the coal business of PJSC Raspadskaya – hereafter “Raspadskaya”). Also, Mr Shirokobrod will join the Board of Directors of Raspadskaya.
Andrey Davydov will continue to perform his role of RCC’s General Director, reporting directly to the CEO, and will be in charge of operations.
These changes will become effective on 4 April 2022.
Ilya Shirokobrod has been with EVRAZ for 12 years. His efforts were instrumental in setting up EVRAZ’s relationships with the biggest rolled steel and raw materials consumers all over the world and in establishing leadership in the rail and construction longs sectors. Mr Shirokobrod focused on business development, improving the level of customer service and managing the product portfolio, as well as the digitalisation of sales and new business models implementation.
Mr Shirokobrod`s diversified and vast experience will create value for Raspadskaya, Russia’s leading producer of coking coal and one of the most technologically advanced players in the coal sector. Reinforcing the Raspadskaya’s management team will scale up its key competencies and enhance investment case.
