LONDON, UK: Allergy Therapeutics announced the appointment of Cheryl MacDiarmid as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, with effect from 27 October 2021.
Upon appointment Cheryl will also become a member of the Audit Committee.
Cheryl MacDiarmid has more than 25 years’ experience in commercial roles within the global pharmaceuticals sector. She brings significant marketing, strategy and management expertise, having worked for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) since 1993, where she has focussed mainly on the commercial aspects of the business, developing a deep knowledge of sales and marketing operations in North America.
Cheryl MacDiarmid has significant senior management experience within GSK, initially in Canada and then in the US where she led the Respiratory Business Unit and associated US operations. In 2019 Cheryl was appointed Senior Vice President and Head, Global Commercial Strategy for ViiV Healthcare, the joint venture between GSK, Pfizer and Shionogi which specialises in the development of therapies for HIV.
