Clean Seas Seafood lists on Euronext Growth 1

OSLO: Clean Seas Seafood Limited has listed on the Euronext Growth market in Oslo with the ticker code “CSS”, offering investors an opportunity to invest in the global leader in full cycle breeding, farming, processing, and marketing of Yellowtail Kingfish, a highly attractive species with strong growth momentum in restaurants and retailers globally, a news release said.

The company is exposed to important megatrends such as consumer nutrition, sustainable protein production, rising incomes, environmental awareness and new sustainable food technologies to reduce carbon footprints.

In a concerted drive to reposition and lower the company’s cost base, the ongoing development of new sales channels and markets is expected to deliver long-term growth that will complement Clean Seas’ existing premium food service business as this segment recovers post COVID-19. Clean Seas will be a strong beneficiary of the vaccine roll out globally.

Clean Seas CEO, Rob Gratton, commented: “Being listed in Oslo and in Australia will make it easier for the largest and most sophisticated seafood investor group in the world, based in Norway, to invest in Clean Seas Seafood and participate in the opportunities we see ahead of us. Clean Seas is well positioned to rebound strongly as the restaurant segment recovers from COVID-19, and as we continue to open new markets and new sales channels with our partnership with Norwegian-based Hofseth International. Leveraging their existing sales relationship gives us a huge option into the growth available from retail and meal kit companies, particularly in the US.

Our premium, Spencer Gulf Hiramasa Kingfish ocean-reared product and established distribution channels and supply chain positions us at the forefront of the global opportunity for our incredible Kingfish species. Also, following this significant capital raise and boost in liquidity, we are now in an excellent position to extend our leading position within the Yellowtail Kingfish category and take advantage of the momentum we are already showing.”

Clean Seas Seafood is a fully integrated Australian Aquaculture business listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

Clean Seas is the global leader in full cycle breeding, farming, processing and marketing of its Hiramasa or Yellowtail Kingfish (Seriola lalandi) and is renowned amongst leading chefs and restaurants around the world for its exceptional quality.

Clean Seas is recognised for innovation in its sustainable Yellowtail Kingfish farming and has become the largest producer of aquaculture Yellowtail Kingfish outside Japan.

Clean Seas is headquartered at its processing facility in Royal Park in Adelaide, South Australia while its hatchery is at Arno Bay and its fish farms are at Port Lincoln, both on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia.
