ATLANTA: Skanska has signed a contract with Georgia World Congress Center Authority to build the first new construction Signia by Hilton hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
The total contract value is USD 308 million for the Skanska-led joint venture along with SG Contracting Inc. Skanska will include its 88 percent share worth USD 271 million, about SEK 2.3 billion, in the US order bookings for the second quarter of 2021.
Signia by Hilton is a new upscale brand from Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HLT). The 40-story, 114,000-square-meter hotel will be built to achieve LEED Gold certification and feature 975 guest rooms and 7,000 square meters of meeting and event space.
The hotel will also include parking facilities, spa and fitness facilities, a 620-square-meter pool deck, outdoor event space, market and two restaurants.

Skanska is one of the leading construction and project development companies in U.S., specialized in building construction, civil infrastructure and developing commercial properties in select U.S. markets. Skanska USA had sales of SEK 66 billion in 2020 and had about 7,600 employees in its operations.
