OSLO: Kahoot!, the global learning platform company, today announced that Jostein Håvaldsrud has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to strengthen the Kahoot! Group’s technology management team.
In addition, Kahoot! announced that Trine Haaland Danjalsson will join Kahoot! Group as Corporate Legal Director to further strengthen the Kahoot! Group’s Legal and M&A activities.

Kahoot! acquires Drops for an enterprise value of $31 million
Jostein Håvaldsrud will manage and develop the group’s technology strategy across all units and teams. He joins Kahoot! with more than 25 years of experience in the software industry as a developer, architect and manager of software development. In recent years Håvaldsrud has worked at the intersection of product strategy, M&A and product development.
Håvaldsrud will join the Kahoot! Group full time from June 1, 2021 and comes from the position as Product Director SMB in Visma Group. Håvaldsrud is based in Amsterdam.
Trine Haaland Danjalsson will join the Kahoot! Group as Corporate Legal Director to further strengthen the Kahoot! Group’s Legal and M&A activities.
Before Kahoot!, Haaland Danjalsson comes from her nine-year role in the M&A department with the Norwegian law firm Thommessen, where she worked with Norwegian and international clients across industries with mergers and acquisitions, corporate legal matters and capital markets transactions. She has been closely involved in all Kahoot! M&A and Equity Capital Markets transactions during the past four years.
Haaland Danjalsson will start full time in the Kahoot! Group from May 1, 2021. Danjalsson is based in Oslo.
