ST. LOUIS: Tinicum L.P., and affiliated funds managed by Tinicum Incorporated announced that they have acquired a controlling interest in Robert Family Holdings, LLC. Following the acquisition, Robert Family Holdings changed its name to TSL Engineered Products LLC (TSL).
TSL, through its three wholly owned operating subsidiaries—Advantek, LLC, Continental Disc, LLC, and Dexter Magnetic Technologies, Inc.—is a diversified global manufacturer of highly specialized industrial solutions.
Advantek manufactures carrier tape and associated products for the semiconductor industry. Headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Advantek has over 35 years of tight-tolerance component delivery experience, five manufacturing facilities on three different continents, and a customer base that includes leading semiconductor device manufacturers, foundries, and assembly and test service providers.
Continental Disc is a leading manufacturer of rupture discs, pressure- and vacuum-relief valves, and other safety-critical pressure-relief products. Continental Disc serves diverse end markets globally, including chemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.
Headquartered in Liberty, Missouri, Continental Disc was founded in 1965 and operates three manufacturing facilities in the US and India.
Dexter Magnetic Technologies supplies specialized magnetic components and assemblies for use in demanding applications in the medical, aerospace, defense, semiconductor manufacturing, oil and gas, and industrial end markets. Dexter has been solving complex customer challenges since 1951 and manufactures its products at its headquarters in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
