LAKELAND: Winsight Grocery Business, a leading information services company, recognized Publix as the most trusted grocery retailer in its fourth annual report on consumer confidence in supermarkets.
The factors which inspired the most trust among Publix customers were quality of fresh produce, lowest prices, quality of fresh meat and response to COVID-19. Publix also took the lead in giving the best overall experience and best quality fresh prepared meals.
Data for this report was gathered from an online survey by BrandSpark International. The 2020 results are based on the responses of more than 3,000 U.S. residents — nationally representative by age, gender, census region and income level — who participate in grocery shopping for their household.
Publix, the largest employee-owned company in the U.S. with more than 225,000 associates, currently operates 1,264 stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. For 23 consecutive years, the company has been recognized by Fortune as a great place to work. In addition, Publix’s dedication to superior quality and customer service is recognized among the top in the grocery business.
