Songa Container own and operate small to midsize container vessels. The current fleet consists of 15 vessels, ranging from 1,000 TEU and up to 5,000 TEU.

OSLO: Songa Container has announced the appointment of James Buck as its Chief Executive Officer, effective as of 1 September 2020.

Buck brings with him 20 years’ experience in the container sector, a career spanning from Europe to Asia. Initially entering the market on the liner side with Maersk, he went on to hold senior positions with international broking houses Braemar Seascope and Maersk Broker.

More recently Mr. Buck was employed with the privately owned container shipping company Lomar Shipping headquartered in London, before joining Canadian stock-listed containership owner Seaspan.

The company has been built on solid foundations for success and I am excited to be given the opportunity to drive the business forward into the next stage of development as a leading, high quality tonnage provider in the container feeder sector,” says Mr. Buck in a comment.
