LONDON: Chapel Down Group plc, the English wine and drinks producer, announced the appointment of Martin Glenn as Chairman.
Martin succeeds John Dunsmore who has chaired the Company for the last six years. Martin will take over on 1 July 2020 after the Company’s AGM on 30 June 2020.
Martin Glenn, Chairman designate, commented: “I’m thrilled to be joining Chapel Down as Chairman. Thanks to the pioneering work of Chapel Down, English Sparkling Wine is no longer regarded as a novelty and has now become mainstream. The Company has ambition to accelerate growth and I believe that my commercial experience can be of assistance to Frazer and the team as they develop their business plan for the coming years. A full induction is being planned and I look forward to learning from John who has helped lead Chapel Down since 2014.”

He leaves the business after six years in much improved shape. John will remain a close friend and supporter of the business and will help Martin into the role.”
