LONDON: Senior plc, an international manufacturer of high technology components and systems, announced that its Aerospace Division secured a contract extension with MTU Aero Engines for the supply of Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan engines airfoils.
This is a dual source arrangement from Senior Aerospace Thailand and Senior Aerospace Weston, UK which provides optimum risk mitigation for our customer.
Senior Aerospace support MTU on several stages of the Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan engines for the Airbus A320neo family and the Irkut MS-21 powered by PW1100G-JM and PW1400G-JM as well as the Embraer E2-Jet family powered by PW1900G and PW1700G.
Airfoils have been supplied to MTU by Senior Aerospace since the original contract award in 2014. This contract extension represents an additional ten years to the existing term and is projected to achieve total additional sales revenue of approximately US$330M.

Senior Aerospace Thailand, located in Chon Buri province, specializes in the manufacture of both structures components and assemblies, and compressor airfoils for high volume aero-engine programs.
Senior Aerospace Weston, located at Earby, Lancashire (UK), is principally a manufacturer of complex precision components, and sub-assemblies predominantly for the commercial aerospace market.
