SYDNEY: The Board of AF Legal Group Ltd will enter the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) with the opening of a new office in Q3 FY2020.
The office will be led by the highly respected leading family law practitioner Courtney Mullen. Ms Mullen was recommended in Doyles Guide as a Leading Family & Divorce Lawyer for the ACT market in 2019.
She is also the secretary on the Canberra Region Family Law Professionals Association Committee and is a member of several legal bodies including Collaborative Practice Canberra. “We welcome Courtney to the AFL family.

Canberra is a unique jurisdiction for Family Law underpinned by important demographics including a population of 430,000 residents which earn the highest net weekly wages in Australia.
This expansion is in line with the growth strategy employed by the AFL Board to secure lateral hires in new geographies from which the Company can roll out its digital marketing capability and operating model. AFL will be seeking to replicate the success and formula of the start-up NSW office that was launched in Sydney.

In addition, the Board is pleased to announce it has also executed an additional lateral hire in Brisbane. Vanessa Hernandez a senior Family Lawyer and Deputy Chair of the Gold Coast Family Law Pathways Network brings her experience and strong client networks operating in the Queensland Family Law market strengthening the existing Brisbane office as the Head of Legal.
