MANAMA, BAHRAIN: Bahrain Cinema Company (CINECO) has entered into an agreement with Ban Management Co to develop and operate multi-screen Cineplex in Amwaj Lifestyle Mall, Amwaj Islands.

Cineco is a dominant player in the entertainment business and currently operating a total of 53 cinema screens across different locations in Bahrain.

The ‘Amwaj Village’ project by Ban Management Co, expected to open in October 2020, will be a blend of entertainment and food outlets under the same roof. It aims to serve the foodies with extravagant food to tickle their taste buds and giving them the opportunity to watch movies in a Cineco developed Cineplex.

While the detailed execution plan for development of the cinema project is underway, as part of the agreement Cineco will undertake the development of 1,177 square meters of area which will house 4 cinema screens in the Amwaj Lifestyle Mall.

On the occasion of signing the agreement, Mr. Ahmed Rashed, Managing Director and CEO of Bahrain Cinema Company said, “Amwaj Islands is a popular getaway for the people in Bahrain and we are thrilled to enter into an agreement with Ban Management Co WLL to develop Cineplex in Amwaj Islands as it would attract the residents of Amwaj Islands and others alike and deliver an enthralling experience to the movie goers.”
