ClearStar achieves ISO security accreditation

LONDON: ClearStar Inc, a provider of Human Capital Integrity SM technology-based services specialising in background and medical screening, has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 accreditation, which certifies that the Company’s information security, cyber security and privacy protection systems and policies comply with international standards of best practice.

Ken Dawson, CIO/CISO of ClearStar, said: “We have always taken a very serious approach to ensuring the security of the information entrusted to us by our clients. With our comprehensive security management programme, we are committed to implementing industry-leading policies and procedures as well as cutting-edge technology measures. We are proud to have these efforts recognised through this accreditation.”

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is an information security standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the world’s largest developer of voluntary international standards, and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

ClearStar’s certification was issued on successful completion of a formal audit process by A-LIGN, an independent and accredited certification body, which confirmed that the Company’s IT security systems, policies and procedures met rigorous international standards in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data.

“Maintaining the integrity of data relating to the individual is at our very core and this certification attests to our ability to deliver that,” added Robert J. Vale, Jr., CEO of ClearStar. “This internationally-recognised certification, which complements our NAPBS accreditation, provides further assurance to our clients and partners that measures to maintain the security of their data and information are embedded in all areas of our organisation.”
