JACKSON – Toyota Boshoku America, Inc. (TBA) has fully acquired TBDN Tennessee Company, LLC, its long-standing joint venture with DENSO International America, Inc., the companies announced today. The strategic acquisition concludes a 35-year partnership and integrates the facility fully into TBA’s North American operations.
The Jackson-based plant, which began production in 1990, will be rebranded as Toyota Boshoku Jackson Tennessee, LLC (TBJT). It specializes in manufacturing automotive powertrain and filtration products, including air cleaners, oil filters, intake manifolds, and cabin air filters.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Shunichi Iwamori, President & CEO of Toyota Boshoku America, stated the move is a pivotal step in the company’s growth strategy. “We are grateful for the partnership with DENSO,” Iwamori said. “This acquisition allows us to streamline decision-making, accelerate innovation, and enhance service to our customers as we elevate the Toyota Boshoku brand.”
The companies emphasized that the transition will be seamless for customers. Production of DENSO-branded products will continue at the facility under the new ownership. The existing workforce and management team will remain in place.
Shuhei Yoshida, President of the outgoing TBDN, who will lead TBJT, noted the occasion coincides with the plant’s 35th anniversary. “While our name is changing, what matters most remains the same — our values, our dedicated team, and our unwavering commitment to our customers and the Jackson community,” Yoshida said.
The rebranded TBJT plans to host an employee celebration in December to mark the dual milestones of the acquisition and its 35-year legacy.
