BRISBANE – Australian cloud networking firm Megaport Limited (MP1.AX) said on Monday it has agreed to acquire compute provider Latitude.sh, a move aimed at creating a combined platform to tap into growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and hybrid cloud services.
The acquisition, which is expected to close by Dec. 31, 2025, will merge Megaport’s global network with Latitude.sh’s high-performance computing infrastructure, the companies said in a statement.
The deal will allow Megaport to expand beyond its core network services business and directly offer on-demand computing power, including the advanced graphics processing units (GPUs) crucial for AI workloads.
“Megaport has long been trusted by the world’s largest enterprises to move workloads seamlessly between data centers and the cloud,” said Michael Reid, Chief Executive Officer of Megaport.
“By bringing Latitude.sh into the fold, we’re extending that promise beyond the network, and into high-performance, optimized compute,” he added, highlighting the opportunity in the “explosive AI infrastructure space.”
Latitude.sh provides dedicated server capacity, including NVIDIA (NVDA.O) AI clusters, to over 1,150 customers across 10 countries. Its platform allows for the deployment of computing resources in seconds, serving markets such as SaaS, gaming, and AI model training and inference.
The combined entity will offer a global platform connecting this computing power to over 1,000 data centers in 26 countries, positioning it as a competitor and complement to major cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AMZN.O) and Microsoft Azure (MSFT.O).

The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
