SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Metarock Group Limited (ASX: MYE), a diversified mining services company, has announced the appointment of Mr Jeffrey Whiteman as its new CEO and Managing Director. Mr Whiteman has been leading the Group’s turnaround plan as Interim CEO since June 2023, after joining as CFO in November 2022.
He has successfully resolved several legacy issues, secured $25 million in funding, reduced net debt, extended banking facilities, and improved the performance of the core business units.
Executive Chairman, Mr Jon Romcke, praised Mr Whiteman’s achievements and said that the Group was ready to move forward with stability at the senior executive level. He welcomed Mr Whiteman to the Metarock board as Managing Director.
Mr Whiteman has extensive experience in the mining and corporate sectors, having held executive roles in Australia’s largest surface drill and blast contractor, a Queensland based civil and mining contractor, and an ASX200 agribusiness. He is also a former Queensland Head for ANZ’s mid-market private equity business and a PwC Corporate Finance veteran. He is a Chartered Accountant, a Corporate Financier and a Civil Engineer.
