Serabi Gold buys ore sorter for Coringa project

LONDON, UK: Serabi Gold, the Brazilian focused gold mining and development company, has announced that it has bought an ore sorter from the Comex Group for its Coringa gold project. The ore sorter will help increase the grade of the ore being transported to the Palito Complex for processing and boost gold production from Coringa in the second half of 2024.

The ore sorter has a capacity of 40 tonnes per hour, the same as at Palito, and is expected to arrive in Brazil before the end of 2023. The Company plans to start the civil works and acquisition of the crushing plant early in 2024 and have the ore sorter operational early in the third quarter of 2024.

Mike Hodgson, CEO of Serabi, said that the purchase of the ore sorter is a further commitment by Serabi to invest in the Tapajos region of Brazil and that he hopes to see further progress on the licencing front before the end of the year. The total cost of the ore sorter is about €930,000.
