Deep Genomics, a company that uses AI to develop new medicines, has appointed Brian O’Callaghan as its new CEO and board member.

O’Callaghan has a strong background in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries and will lead the company’s strategic plan to become a biopharmaceutical company.

He will work with Brendan Frey, the company’s founder and chief innovation officer, who will focus on advancing the company’s AI technology and drug discovery.

The company also announced that William Baird, a veteran biotech executive, has been appointed as the chair of the board. Deep Genomics aims to use AI to decode RNA biology and create novel RNA-targeted therapeutics for various diseases.
