Equinox appoints new CEO with battery and iron ore expertise

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Equinox Resources Limited (ASX: EQN) has announced the appointment of Mr. Zekai (Zac) Komur as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Zac is a seasoned leader with over 23 years of experience in the resources sector, working for companies such as BHP, INPEX, Fortescue, and Northvolt.

He has expertise in development, project delivery, valuations, mining, and mineral processing operations across a range of commodities, including iron ore, nickel, cobalt, and lithium. He also has experience in battery cathode active materials manufacturing and zero-emission products.

Zac replaces Mr. Gower He, who has resigned from his position as CEO to pursue other opportunities. Equinox’s Chairman, Robert Martin, welcomed Zac to the Company and said that his commercial acumen will add significant depth to the team as they progress to unlock the potential of their world class Hamersley Iron project and their Canadian lithium exploration assets. Zac said that he is honoured to join the Company at this pivotal time and that he looks forward to developing their assets and delivering value to their shareholders.
