AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS:  Playtika Holding Corp., a mobile games pioneer and interactive entertainment leader, has announced that it has agreed to buy Youda Games, a portfolio of social card games, from Azerion Group N.V., one of Europe’s largest digital advertising and entertainment media platforms.

The deal is worth up to 150 million euros, depending on the performance of the acquired business.

Youda Games includes popular titles such as Governor of Poker 3, a social card game that allows players to compete with millions of poker fans around the world.

The game has strong intellectual property and a loyal fan base. Playtika plans to leverage its unrivaled LiveOps expertise and proprietary technology stack to optimize and scale the game, strengthening its market position.

The deal is in line with Playtika’s strategic incremental growth approach of acquiring proven franchises where it can add value. Playtika believes that the acquisition will be accretive to its financial performance and will enhance its portfolio of casual and social games. Playtika is known for its hit titles such as Slotomania, Bingo Blitz, and Best Fiends.

Azerion decided to sell Youda Games as part of its dynamic shift towards its digital advertising platform, which has become its core business.

Azerion offers global scaled audiences to advertisers in an easy and cost-effective way, delivered through its proprietary technology, in a safe, engaging, and high-quality environment. Azerion also develops and operates content with entertainment and other digital publishing partners.

The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter 2023, subject to customary closing conditions. Azerion will provide further information about the transaction alongside its interim financial results for Q2 and H1 2023.
