LONDON, UK: Plant Health Care, a company that provides biological products for agriculture, has announced that it can sell its biostimulant product, Harpin αβ, in Poland. Harpin αβ is a protein that improves crop yield and quality.
The company got Mutual Recognition for Harpin αβ in Poland, after getting regulatory approval in France. The company is also seeking Mutual Recognition in other EU countries. Europe is a big market for sustainable agriculture, with sales of over $2 billion a year.
The company is using Harpin αβ for potato production in Europe, and plans to use it for fruit and vegetable crops later. The company is testing Harpin αβ on potatoes in Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. The company works with specialist distributors around the world.
Angel Marin, Director EMEAA for Plant Health Care, said: “We are happy to sell our biostimulant product, Harpin αβ, in more European countries. Harpin αβ is a green and proven technology that helps plants grow better and produce more food. This is important as the world needs more food security.”
