OSLO, NORWAY: IDEX Biometrics, a leading provider of fingerprint solutions for payments and identity access, has announced a collaboration with Goldpac Fintech Hong Kong Limited, a subsidiary of Goldpac Group, one of the world’s largest payment card suppliers, to deploy biometric smart cards globally.
The partnership will leverage Goldpac Fintech’s presence across more than 30 countries and its certification by major payment networks to offer biometric card solutions to its customers in the banking, fintech and related enterprise markets.
The biometric smart cards will use IDEX Biometrics’ complete fingerprint solution, which includes sensors, algorithms, software and enrollment devices, to provide secure and convenient authentication for payments and identity access.
The companies expect to launch the biometric smart cards in the market before the end of 2023.
