OSLO, NORWAY: 5th Planet Games A/S (OAX: 5PG), a video game publisher, has revealed its first original video game in the Invincible universe, Invincible Presents: Atom Eve, at the Comic-Con International: San Diego.
The game is based on the award-winning and critically-acclaimed comic book and animated series created by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley.
The game is developed by Terrible Posture Games, with Jill Murray as the creative director and Rossi Gifford as the art director. The game will allow players to become Atom Eve, a superheroine with the power to manipulate matter, and explore her life beyond the story of the comic book and the TV show.
The game will feature a branching narrative that will be influenced by the players’ choices, as they balance Atom Eve’s superhero duties with her personal life. The game will also feature comic-book-style combat, where players can use Atom Eve’s powers and skills to fight enemies.
Mark Stanger, CEO of 5th Planet Games, said that the game was one of the most anticipated additions to the Invincible universe, and that it would be a hit with all types of gamers. He said that the game would showcase the quality of the video games catalogue that 5th Planet Games was creating.
Jill Murray, creative director of the game, said that Atom Eve was a joy to build a game around, and that she was excited to share her powers and point of view with players. Rossi Gifford, art director of the game, said that it was an honor to bring Atom Eve to life through his art, and that he was eager to show what they had in store for the players.
The game is expected to be released in 2024 for PC and consoles. It will be published in collaboration with Skybound Entertainment, the media company founded by Robert Kirkman.
