Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch may bring back a feature that many Galaxy Watch fans have missed. A new leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will have a physical rotating bezel, unlike the Galaxy Watch 5 that used a touch bezel.
The leak comes from tipster OnLeaks, who shared renders of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic with MySmartPrice. The renders show a sleek and elegant design with a slightly thinner physical bezel than the previous models. The bezel will surround a 1.47-inch Super AMOLED display with a high resolution of 470 x 470 pixels.
The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is also expected to have a performance boost, thanks to the Exynos W980 chip that will reportedly power the device. This chip is said to be 10 percent faster than the Exynos W920 chip that was used in the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5. The battery life of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is also expected to be longer than its predecessors.
Samsung is likely to announce the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic at its Unpacked 2023 event, along with other devices such as the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Tab S9. The event is expected to take place in the fall of 2023.
The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be a welcome addition to Samsung’s smartwatch lineup, as it will appeal to users who prefer the physical rotating bezel over the touch bezel. The physical bezel is more intuitive, more durable and less prone to accidental touches. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will also offer a premium and stylish design, as well as improved performance and battery life.
