Oslo, Norway: IDEX Biometrics, a leading provider of fingerprint authentication solutions, has announced a new agreement with Thames Technology, a Paragon ID company and one of Europe’s leading card manufacturers and issuer partners, to accelerate the commercialization at scale of biometric smart cards.
Thames Technology develops, manufactures and personalizes more than 250 million cards annually for customers in over 60 countries. The company specializes in the design, manufacture, personalization and distribution of payment and retail card programs.
The agreement will enable the two businesses to jointly address the growing demand for biometric smart cards, which offer enhanced security and convenience for consumers. IDEX Biometrics’ cutting-edge fingerprint authentication solutions will be integrated with Thames Technology’s smart card manufacturing and personalization services.
