SAE appoints Simon Hirst new CFO to drive the delivery of projects

LONDON, UK: SIMEC Atlantis Energy Limited SAE announced that Mr Simon Hirst has been appointed as an Executive Director of the Company and will serve as the Group Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Hirst has worked at SAE since 2015 and has primarily been responsible for all financial and commercial aspects of the MeyGen project. Before joining SAE, Mr Hirst gained international blue-chip corporate experience at a number of organisations including ExxonMobil, Pepsi Cola, Iron Mountain and international power generation company InterGen. Mr Andrew Charters has resigned his position on the Board and has stepped down as CFO. He will remain with the Group during a transition period. These changes are with immediate effect.

This appointment follows his success in helping MeyGen to secure the recently announced additional funding from Scottish Enterprise and recognises the huge contribution he has made to the Group to date.
