Scandi Standard appoints Otto Drakenberg as interim managing director and CEO 1

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN: Board of Directors of Scandi Standard has decided to appoint Otto Drakenberg as interim managing director and CEO of Scandi Standard. This decision means that Leif Bergvall Hansen resigns with immediate effect.

Otto Drakenberg was born 1966 and has a track record as interim Chief Executive in the FMCG, consumer services, and consumer retail sectors. Otto has extensive experience from leading business transformations, as CEO of Selecta, Swegro and Twilfit, and as Chairman of the Board of Swegro and Spendrups.

Johan Bygge, Chairman of the Board of Scandi Standard, comments: ”We see a need to strengthen the leadership at Group level in order to progress a number of projects and processes in the company. Otto Drakenberg will initially focus on the situation at the Swedish chicken production plant Kronfågel, and also engage in finding a sustainable solution regarding the Danish Ready-to-cook business. Through this measure, we are reinforcing our commitment to fulfil the company’s high demands for animal health and food safety, in order for everyone to feel confident in buying our products.”
