STOCKHOLM: Zoran Covic has expressed his intention before Board of Ework Group AB that he, after nine years with the group of which seven as CEO, wishes to resign from his position.
Zoran Covic has not tendered a formal letter of resignation, but only expressed his intentions, in order to facilitate a smooth succession. He will continue in his current role until Ework Group has appointed a new CEO. The ambition is for the new CEO to be presented no later than during the summer 2021.
Zoran Covic was appointed CEO in 2014 and was previously responsible for Ework Group’s operations in the Öresund region.
“Over the past seven years, Ework has developed from a business with approximately 3,500 consultants on assignment and SEK 3.8 billion in sales to 10,300 consultants on assignment and SEK 12.2 billion in sales. Even more important is the comprehensive digitization of the business, which has been successfully concluded and thanks to which Ework now offers a digital marketplace for consulting services. Under Zoran’s leadership, Ework has moved ever closer to its goal of being the leading consulting broker in northern Europe, and we are very grateful to him for that,” says Staffan Salén, Chairman of the Board.
“After seven years of intensive transformation work, it feels natural to now let a successor take over the baton. I look forward to continuing our growth journey with full force until a new CEO is in place,” says Zoran Covic.
The main owners of Ework intend to propose Zoran Covic as a Board member of Ework Group when he has left his position as CEO.
