OSLO: Crayon Group ASA, the digital transformation experts, announced that Torgrim Takle will be stepping down as CEO as of March 15th.

In his place, Melissa Mulholland, Crayon’s Chief Services & Solutions Officer will act as Interim CEO while the board evaluates internal and external candidates.

Chairman of the Board Jens Rugseth stated, “We appreciate Torgrim’s hard work and service throughout the years and wish him the best for the future”.

Torgrim has been instrumental in Crayons growth for many years, first as CFO and then as CEO.

Takle was with the company for eight years, during which Crayon experienced rapid growth, doubling its workforce and expanding into many new markets.

“It’s been a privilege to lead Crayon and our highly motivated & skilled employees, and I’m leaving a company with a tremendously strong strategic foundation for future growth and profitability. As our industry undergoes relentless cycles of innovation, Crayon needs to innovate faster than competition and invest ahead of the curve. After working in Crayon for nearly a decade, I believe it’s time to bring in renewed leadership with new vision and ideas, and have therefore decided to step down as CEO of the company.”

“I’m very excited about the future for Crayon, and although no longer with an operational role in the company, I will continue to be a long term shareholder in Crayon” Torgrim Takle stated.

Mulholland previously worked for Microsoft where she led global strategy and business development. She joined Crayon last year where she has driven its core cloud services and IP strategy worldwide, including data and AI.

“Crayon is an innovative company and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help further its global expansion and leverage the power of technology to drive the greater good”, Mulholland said.
