SYDNEY: Strategic Energy Resources (SER) announce that drilling has been completed at the Saxby Gold Project in Queensland.
Vertical rotary-mud / diamond drill hole SXDD020 reached a final depth of 718.63m on 9 November 2019. SXDD020 did not deviate significantly in inclination. SER will sample 95m of core from SXDD020 which will be sent for assay in Mt Isa with results expected mid-December.
Drilling was slower than expected due to time taken for replacement equipment to reach the remote site. Given this, SER made the decision to demobilise rather than risk getting trapped as wet season approaches.
This will also allow SER to incorporate analysis of SXDD020 into future drill planning. A planned second hole, SXDD021, has been postponed.
