LONDON: Bunzl plc, the specialist international distribution and services group, announced Tuesday the completion of four acquisitions, including two previously disclosed deals, as part of its ongoing global expansion strategy.
In July, Bunzl finalized the acquisition of Quindesur, a Spanish distributor of foodservice and cleaning & hygiene products with a strong presence in Southern Spain. The company generated revenue of €14 million ($15 million) in 2024 and will bolster Bunzl’s regional operations.
In August, Bunzl completed its purchase of Guantes Internacionales, S.A. de C.V. (“Gisa”), a Mexico-based distributor specializing in own-brand personal protective equipment, particularly gloves. Gisa reported revenue of MXN 399 million ($20 million) in 2024 and offers cross-selling potential with Bunzl’s existing businesses in Mexico and the United States.
The company also confirmed the July completion of two previously announced acquisitions: Solupack, a Brazilian distributor of own-brand packaging solutions for the food industry, and Hospitalia, one of Chile’s largest healthcare distributors.
“I am pleased to announce our fourth and fifth acquisitions this year,” said Frank van Zanten, Bunzl’s chief executive officer. “Acquisitions remain an important part of our compounding growth model, with more than £6 billion of committed spend since 2004, across more than 230 acquisitions. Our acquisition pipeline remains active, and we see significant opportunity for continued expansion.”
Bunzl continues to pursue strategic opportunities to strengthen its global portfolio and enhance its service capabilities across key markets.
