SYDNEY: OpenLearning Limited (ASX: OLL), an AI-powered learning management system, announced Friday it has acquired Employability Advantage, a provider of digital work-readiness programs, from Education Centre of Australia Pty Ltd (ECA Group) for a nominal fee of A$1.

The acquisition includes Employability Advantage’s suite of tools under the Upskill brand, such as skills diagnostics, resume generators, interview simulators and career-focused short courses. These resources, alongside live bootcamps and workplace simulations, will be integrated into OpenLearning’s platform to enhance scalable, online professional training

Loren D’Souza, Head of Operations at Employability Advantage, who will join OpenLearning as part of the deal, said the programs will now be delivered globally through OpenLearning’s advanced system, helping graduates prepare for careers.

CEO Adam Brimo highlighted the strategic fit, stating the move expands OpenLearning’s digital content offerings and supports institutions in creating engaging, outcome-driven learning experiences.

No liabilities or customer contracts were transferred in the transaction, which received an ASX waiver from shareholder approval rules. OpenLearning plans to engage past clients under recurring revenue or fee-for-service models.

OpenLearning serves over 4 million learners through partnerships with 230 education providers, with a strong presence in Australia, Malaysia and growing markets in Southeast Asia and India.
