RIYADH: The International Medical Center Company (IMC), an associate company of Dallah Healthcare, has signed two agreements with specialized consulting companies for a new hospital project in Jeddah.
The first agreement, worth 11 million Saudi Riyals, is with Dar Al-Handasah Company for the design of the new hospital, which will be built on a land owned by the IMC in North Obhur on an area of 20,800 sqm.
The second agreement, worth 10 million Saudi Riyals, is with Midrar General Construction Limited for the project management of the new hospital, which will offer various specialities and services.
The contract duration for the design agreement is eight months, while the project management agreement is 31 months. The foundation stone for the new hospital will be laid after completing the necessary studies and obtaining the official approvals.
The IMC said that there is no expected financial impact from the agreements at the moment, and that any developments will be announced later.
The IMC is a leading healthcare provider in the Kingdom, with a 27.18% stake owned by Dallah Healthcare. The IMC operates the International Medical Center Hospital on Hail Street in Jeddah, with a capacity of 300 beds, and the First Clinic Complex on King Road in Jeddah. The IMC is also developing the Specialized Clinics and One-Day Surgery Center project in Makkah, which is expected to open in the last quarter of 2024.
