Miami Beef acquires Hofmann Sausage, expands its product range

Miami Beef, a leading provider of fresh and frozen meat products, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Hofmann Sausage, a historic sausage and hot dog brand based in Syracuse, New York.

Hofmann Sausage, founded in 1879, is the top-selling sausage and hot dog brand in the Central New York area. Its products include beef and pork franks, smoked sausage, bratwursts, beef jerky, and condiments.

Robert Young, CEO of Miami Beef, said in a statement that he was thrilled to welcome Hofmann Sausage to the Miami Beef family. He praised Hofmann’s heritage and connection to its customers, employees, and community, and said that Miami Beef plans to invest in its facilities in Syracuse.

Young also said that he was excited to add hot dogs and sausages to Miami Beef’s high-quality hamburger offerings, to give its customers the full grilling experience. He added that Miami Beef’s plan is to turbo-charge the growth of Hofmann’s footprint throughout the country and continue to look for complementary brands to acquire.

Miami Beef, founded in 1972, is an industry leader in providing quality fresh and frozen meat products to retail and foodservice customers nationwide. Its brands include Miami Beef, Free Graze, Florida Raised, Sizzle King, Young Ridge, Brooklyn Burger, Devault Foods, and Hofmann Sausage. Miami Beef operates out of its South Florida and Central New York based facilities.
