TOKYO: JTB, a leading travel agency in Asia, has become an official sponsor of Major League Baseball (MLB)’s WORLD TOUR, a series of international events that showcase the game of baseball to fans around the globe.
The partnership will allow JTB to offer exclusive hospitality packages to WORLD TOUR events, including the season-opening Seoul Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres on March 20th-21st, which will feature the Dodgers debuts of Japanese stars Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
JTB will also provide tickets and travel arrangements to MLB regular season games in the U.S. and Canada for fans based in Asia, as well as access to VIP packages for the London Series later this year.
JTB President & CEO Eijiro Yamakita said that the partnership reflects the strong demand for “real and exciting experiences” in the post-pandemic world, and praised MLB’s commitment to bringing baseball to people around the world.
MLB Deputy Commissioner Noah Garden said that JTB is a key business partner who can help MLB grow the game and the fandom abroad, and expressed his excitement for the upcoming WORLD TOUR events.
